By observing comparable auctions on eBay, you can get a good idea of how much your jewelry is worth, as well as the best way to sell it. You don't have to be an expert to sell gold jewelry online. In today's gold market, anyone can sell their unwanted gold pieces on eBay. The nice thing about selling your gold jewelry on eBay is that you can ensure you will get a higher price than you would from the refiner by listing it with a minimum reserve price that is above the price of scrap gold.

It's recommended that you set all your auctions to END on Sunday evening. That's the best day and time of the week to end auctions. Sunday night is when everyone's home and watching the eBay auctions end! You'll end up selling more by doing so, and making more money.

Step 5: Set Your Price

Set reserve or minimum asking price above scrap price and don't forget to factor in the listing and shipping costs to your minimum list price as well.

Step 6: Wait It Out

Wait for the gold to sell, which can take as long as 30 days depending on the listing. More time may garner more bids and competition, but if you need quick cash, then this may not be right for you. Once it sells, remember, Ebay and PayPal will take their cut of the profits. And as soon as you get paid, ship the item promptly! Send it out immediately and send it well packaged also. And insure it properly! You never know what will happen to it.
